Simple copper becomes an effective spintronic component thanks to molecular film (Associate Professor Fumiyuki Ishii, Theoretical and Computational Science Group)
Kanazawa University-led researcher Associate Professor Fumiyuki Ishii and graduate student Naoya Yamaguchi, in collaboration with the University of Tokyo, RIKEN, and Osaka University, successfully demonstrated an efficient conversion of spin current to charge current in a copper sample thanks to a simple coat of ‘paint’, phthalocyanine molecular film.
